Description
Two framed prints depicting fox hunting scenes, specifically "The Fox Hunt" and "Going to Cover," both of which are English colour lithographs.
These are from J. Baines lithographs painted originally by D. Stack.
The scene "The Fox Hunt" illustrates a group of riders and hounds actively pursuing a fox, with one rider clearing a fence.
"Going to Cover" shows a similar scene, likely depicting the beginning or end of a hunt, with riders and hounds moving through the countryside.
These hunting prints were popular in the 19th century and are collectible items.
In good vintage condition. One has yellowed more than the other. Signs of foxing present. Please see photos.
