Vintage c1970s Florentine Gilt Wood Frame Madonna & Child Solario Religious Art

An attractive vintage religious artwork featuring a reproduction of the celebrated Renaissance painting La Vierge au coussin vert (Madonna of the Green Cushion), originally painted by Italian Renaissance artist Andrea Solario around 1507–1510 and now housed in the Musée du Louvre, Paris.

The image depicts the Virgin Mary tenderly nursing the infant Christ, beautifully rendered in the rich colours and delicate composition associated with the Italian Renaissance.

ORNATE FLORENTINE-STYLE GILDED FRAME

The artwork is presented in a decorative gilded wooden frame featuring:

- Intricate floral rosette ornamentation

- Recessed circular motifs and decorative corner detailing

- Traditional gold-toned finish with warm reddish-brown undertones

- Attractive aged patina and surface wear

- Deep-profile wooden frame with an Italian Florentine-inspired appearance

The frame is particularly appealing and provides a distinctive decorative setting for the religious image.
