15 Wild Strawberry / Alpine Strawberry Bare Root Plants

Wild strawberries (Fragaria vesca), native to Ireland and often called alpine or wood strawberries, are small, intensely flavored berries found in hedgerows, woodlands, and sunny banks. They bloom with white flowers from April to July, with fruit appearing from June through September.

They make great ground cover with the added bonus of very small edible berries. I tell my little niece that they are fairy strawberries which makes her want to eat them all. Great for popping in yoghurt for little bursts of fruit.

These plants are from our own property not taken from the wild.

All our plants are grown naturally without any pesticides or artificial fertilisers.

You will receive 15 bare root plants ready to pop in the ground and they should establish very quickly. They run very easily and will soon cover the areas where you are happy to let them grow.

Price for 15 bare root plants is €10 + €5 postage and I am happy to combine postage with any of the other items I have listed.
