Plant Geranium and Cuban Oregano with herb pot

Description

Growing basics:
Sunlight: Partial sun is ideal. Cuban Oregano appreciates bright light but benefits from some shade during the hottest part of the day. Too much harsh midday sun can scorch the leaves, so a spot with morning sun and afternoon shade works very well.
Soil: Well-draining, gritty soil is essential. Cuban Oregano is a succulent herb and stores moisture in its thick leaves, which means it is far more tolerant of dry conditions than wet ones. It will not tolerate consistently wet roots, so good drainage is the single most important factor in keeping it healthy.
Watering: Moderate watering is all it needs. Keep the soil moist but never soggy, and allow it to dry out slightly between waterings. In cooler months or indoors, water less frequently.
Container growing: Cuban Oregano grows very well in containers, which is the recommended approach in temperate climates. A pot allows you to move the plant to follow the sun through the seasons and bring it indoors easily before frost arrives.
Temperature: Cuban Oregano is frost-tender and should be kept above freezing at all times. In tropical and subtropical climates it can be grown outdoors year-round. In cooler climates, bring it indoors before the first frost and keep it in a bright, warm spot through winter.
Hardiness: Cuban Oregano performs best in USDA zones 9 to 11 outdoors. In cooler zones it grows well as a container herb that can be brought indoors over winter.

What makes Cuban Oregano special?
Cuban Oregano is not a true oregano but it earns the name with its powerfully aromatic leaves, which carry a bold, complex flavour that is significantly stronger and more intense than common Greek oregano. It has warm, slightly spicy notes with hints of thyme and sage, making it a versatile culinary herb used across Caribbean, Indian, and Southeast Asian cooking. A little goes a long way, which makes a single plant genuinely useful in the kitchen.
The plant itself is attractive and easy to live with. The thick, fleshy leaves have a soft, velvety texture and a beautiful grey-green colour, and the whole plant releases its distinctive fragrance when brushed. Low-maintenance, drought-tolerant once established, and happy in a sunny windowsill or patio container, Cuban Oregano is a rewarding and unusual addition to any herb collection.
Geranium (anginka)Here are the specific uses of tonsillitis:

Infections and pain (topical use/inhalation): Leaves rubbed between the fingers and inhaled help clear the nose and facilitate breathing. Inserting a crushed leaf into the ear (not too deeply) is a traditional remedy for earache.

Antiseptic properties: Compresses made from tonsillitis leaves can be applied to minor wounds, abrasions, and insect bites to reduce itching and inflammation.

Aromatherapy and air: The plant releases essential oils (citronellol, geraniol) that have a relaxing effect, promote sleep, and repel mosquitoes.

Internal use (infusion): Tea made from geranium leaves helps with stomach problems and, according to some sources, helps lower blood pressure.
