Thomas Wollen has been making ceramic art from his renovated ‘cow shed’ studio in the Slieve Felim hills of eastern Limerick near Doon since 1998. He specializes in the Raku technique to make vessels and decorative wall pieces. The local environment as well as his childhood experiences living in Africa influence his work. Here is a square water bird plate. 19cm x 19cm. Plate corners raised H3cm. Mint condition. See photos for details. €165.

Myself, I see it as an artwork in pristine condition in a pattern which may no longer be available and which may appreciate over time, like a Van Gogh or closer to home, a John Ffrench.!
