This is a handmade multi-media ceramic art piece intended to be put on a wall. From concept to the finished piece it took me 6 weeks to complete it.

The clay bodies used include porcelain, white stoneware, black clay, grog clay and terracotta. There is around 147 individual floral forms stuck on.

This piece is quite heavy (appx 5kg) and has fragile petals so it is advised to take this with extra caution. You can't stand it up on the edges to settle it down, it MUST be flat on the ground if you intend to leave it somewhere, so the flowers on the edges don't break. (Petal placement shown in image)

If you plan on dusting it, don't use a cloth or feather duster as the petal edges can easily catch onto it and break, so I highly recommend to use an air duster.

However, if the petals do break, the meaning behind it is for the piece to be intentionally fragile and (almost) breakable. Based on 1 Peter 1:24, the petals are purposefully delicate, a single wrong move away from destruction representing our desperate attempts to preserve the beauty of work that is destined to wither.
