We rescue tortoises and rehome them.. I would urge you not to rehome this animal unless the owner knows about tortoises. They can’t be kept in glass tanks under lights. They need specialist outdoor housing and need to be feed on wild food. The tortoise should be getting ready for hibernation now. Please look us up on Facebook as Irish Tortoise Help. Or contact The Tortoise Trust but please don’t pass this animal as they tend to suffer horrific lives when kept by people who don’t know much about them.

Hi there, we can arrange collection no problem. These animals require special housing and food. We can collect tomorrow or Wednesday if you are really stuck but I wouldn’t rehome that baby tortoise to someone who’s going to keep it in a glass tank. They require special housing, wild foods and natural sunlight. If you PM me, I’ll make the necessary arrangement to collect it. I just need to know how old it is, it’s sex and weight if you have it.
