One of my collections, very smooth bike early 1980s in mostly original condition, think i have the original atom pedals somewhere in my parts ,only other thing not original is tyres and mudguards,,21",,this bike rides extremely smooth and very comfortable,,forgot might have original saddle, but not sure ,my bikes have always been kept indoors. Hi, do you know what tubing the frame is made from or its serial number, and is the 21” measured from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube? Thanks

Indeed, though they did start using it in 1935. Reynolds 531 was also used as the space frames material in the Lotus 18 F1 car, so add 2 F1 world titles to those Tour de France wins.

@rent101 dont know much about F1 ,,but putting bikes together for nearly 50 years 531 was always my favourite frames ,,specifically the double butted touring type ,which is what this bike had
