A bold, richly coloured Bakhtiari medallion rug in full, vibrant pile.
Origin & Style: Bakhtiari region, Iran | Central medallion design with dense floral arabesques on a deep crimson field.
Size: 380cm X 260cm (approx. 12.5ft X 8.5ft).
Construction: Hand-knotted; the Bakhtiari region has a long tradition of bold, durable weaving.
Materials: Wool pile on cotton foundation.
Palette: Deep crimson, navy, ivory, and soft blue with peach and rose accents.
Condition: Clean and in very good condition; pile is full and colours remain strong.
Artistry: At 9.88m², a pair of master weavers would likely have taken around 10–14 months to hand-knot a piece of this scale and density.
