Origin & Style: Mashad, Khorasan Province, Iran | Central medallion design with dense floral arabesques on a deep crimson field.
Size: 370cm X 280cm (approx. 12.1ft X 9.2ft).
Construction: Hand-knotted; Mashad is one of Iran's great classical weaving centres.
Materials: Wool pile on cotton foundation.
Palette: Deep crimson, midnight navy, sky blue, ivory, rose pink, and soft gold.
Condition: Clean and presentable, with honest wear consistent with genuine age and regular use.
Artistry: 10.36m² — two master weavers would likely have taken around 10–14 months to hand-knot this large, densely patterned Mashad. Weaver's signature adds provenance value.
