Old Round Chinese Aubusson Rug 117cm
Description
Has been thoroughly washed and left outside in UV light.
See close up of one tiny patch of wear (probably under a furniture leg because it is all in pretty good condition) to get some idea of how this is constructed on a white base, any faint trace of staining comes out accurately on the photo, lots of watermarking on the lining from handwashing and trying to dry flat.
Any rug I can find like this is hand made but I don’t want to start removing the lining to check. I see rugs like this selling for a LOT more money, but I don’t know much about them and they really have only been sitting in a box room for years in my way.
I also have a matching oval rug that has been lightly machine washed (this one is just too big).
