Origin & Style: Malayer, Hamadan Province, Iran. Repeating hexagonal medallion design filled with stylised birds, flanked by animal figures on a deep navy field.
Size: 367 x 152 cm (approx. 12.0 x 5.0 ft). A long rug, ideal in front of a sofa, beside a bed, in a kitchen-dining space or a wide hallway.
Construction: Hand-knotted. Malayer is a celebrated centre of Persian village weaving.
Materials: Wool pile on cotton foundation.
Palette: Deep navy field, ivory medallions, rich crimson motifs with accents of blue and gold.
Age & Condition: Approx. 15 years old. Excellent condition. Clean and ready to use, with no stains, moth damage or repairs. Fringes intact.

The density of bird and animal motifs makes this a genuine piece of Persian folk art.
