Genuine vintage hand-knotted Persian Hamadan rug, originally purchased from Dublin's Switzer's around 1996. 100% hand-knotted wool. The stunning craftsmanship is visible on the back, where the knotwork and original yarn colors are much brighter and beautifully defined (see photo 11). The colour palette is understated, featuring traditional deep reds and classic geometric tones. It features a soft, authentic vintage patina rather than a harsh or bright modern look. Size is 1.38m by 1.05m so 1.45 square meters. Weight is about 5kg. Features the original, factory-finished sewn-on fringe edges from its initial purchase. Clean vintage condition.
