Five ivory hexagonal medallions packed with birds and animals — bold and alive.
Origin & Style: Malayer, Hamadan Province, Iran | repeating hexagonal medallion design filled with stylised birds, flanked by animal figures on a deep navy field.
Size: 367cm X 152cm (approx. 12.0ft X 5.0ft).
Construction: Hand-knotted; Malayer is a celebrated centre of fine Persian village weaving.
Materials: Wool pile on cotton foundation.
Palette: Deep navy field, ivory medallions, rich crimson motifs with accents of blue and gold.
Condition: Perfect condition.
