These notes will save you 4-6 weeks of reading and typing / writing notes for the following subjects:

By way of background and to give you an impression of the quality of these notes;

* I am a qualified lawyer with eight years' experience, working with one of Ireland's largest firms;

* I passed all eight FE1s on my first attempt and received awards in respect of my results in two subjects;

* I graduated top of the 2011 UCD law class; and

* I achieved 600 points in my Leaving Certificate.


The structure for each set of notes is as follows:

• I have broken down the subject into the main components as set out in the Law Society's syllabus. Each subject has approximately 20-30 sub-sections;

• I have reviewed examiner's reports for each subject, noting and focusing on main areas as noted by them;

• I have drafted the notes, drawing on a number of sources including FE1 manuals from leading independent study schools and leading textbooks for each subject;

• these notes are not in shorthand but they do remove unnecessary padding / information contained in manuals; and

• having experienced the FE1s first hand and having checked each year since with friends and junior colleagues, these notes will save you approximately 4-6 weeks of reading manuals and subsequently typing / writing notes for four subjects. These notes can then be modelled if you so wish, tailored to your own needs and added to if desired (although most people I have dealt with have used these solely and passed first time!).
