Large Hand Carved Wooden Man's Face, 1989, probably black forest, sourced in Belgium.

This is a hand carved vintage wooden sculpture, some call tree spirits. Fashioned from branches and roots.

What do wood spirits do?

When or where the legend of the wood spirit began cannot be said with certainty only that belief in the existence of wood spirits is ancient legend.

In addition to good luck, Wood Spirits have been credited with bringing beautiful autumn colors and cool breezes to the forest. Their presence is world-wide.

A nice conversation piece. Very suitable in a rustic environment or anywhere for a bit of fun.
