Monkshood
Botanical Name: Aconitum napellus
Type: Hardy Perennial
Monkshood, also known as Wolf’s Bane or Aconite, is a dramatic, spire-forming perennial prized for its unique, hooded deep violet-blue flowers. Blooming in mid to late summer, these tall and elegant spikes bring height and rich colour to shady borders, woodland gardens, and cottage-style plantings. Though beautiful, all parts of the plant are highly toxic, so handle with care and plant away from children or pets.
