**Vintage Mid-Century Cantilever Sewing Box on Metal Legs — Burgundy & Wood, Magazine Rack Base**

A lovely retro cantilever sewing box with the classic atomic-era look — slim black metal legs with ball feet, a turned wooden carry handle with a ribbed black grip, and a curved slatted base rack underneath.

**Details:**
- Concertina action — the lids lift and the trays swing out to both sides
- Deep burgundy/oxblood painted lids over natural wood body
- Divided compartments in the upper trays for reels, buttons and bits
- Elastic loops inside the lid for storing bobbins or scissors
- Wooden peg catch fastening
- Large open storage well in the main body
- Slatted wooden rack below — handy for fabric, patterns or magazines
- Approx. 40 cm high x 30 cm wide x 45 cm deep [please measure]

**Condition:** Good used vintage condition with honest age-related wear. The paint has scuffs, light scratches and some chipping along the lid edges, and there are marks on the wood. The metal frame shows some wear to the black finish. Structurally sound — the hinges and cantilever action work properly and it stands firmly. A lovely useful piece as well as a decorative one — works equally well as a sewing box, a craft caddy, or a small side table in a mid-century scheme.
