Here are two rare bronze 19th century talisman figures.They are Sokoto or (Sao) bronze figures depicting riders on elephants.They would have been made in what is now Chad or Nigeria.The owner of such a piece would wear it as a talisman to help ward off madness and insanity..These are rare on these shores and it is special to have a pair.They are approximately 3 inches tall and 2.75 inches long and have a combined weight of 220 grams..They are very fairly priced as a pair..
