A Pair of British Raj Niello Bronze/Brass Vases

Here is a very exquisite pair of British Raj( 1858-1947) 19th century Kashmiri Niello Bronze/Brass vases.These have been used for well over a hundred years as flower vases..as can be seen from the internal water marks.The vases have the highest quality of detail and chasing that I have handled or indeed come across.They are decorated with coriander plants and highly detailed geometric borders,in a Niello style( bicolour finish)..I have listed these as bronze/brass and I am quite sure that they are bronze.They would have been produced in Kashmir under British rule before 1900.I purchased these directly from a large house,where they have been for over a hundred years.They are of a heavy gauge..8" tall and 3" across the base.Registered post is available for an additional five euro.Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
