Vintage Brass Angel Holy Water Font Religious Wall Art – 817g

Description.

A beautiful vintage brass holy water font, combining traditional imagery with the decorative appeal of a sculptural wall piece.

This is not merely a practical holy-water holder: its detailed angel figures, ornate relief decoration and gracefully shaped bowl give it a strong ornamental presence and an attractive Art Nouveau late-Victorian-style feel.

Dimensions

At approximately 817 grams, it is a solid and substantial brass piece with a warm polished finish. It has been carefully cleaned, polished and sanitised, and retains the gentle marks, age-related wear and character expected of a vintage religious item.

There is also a small impressed unidentified maker’s mark on the metal—please see the close-up photograph.

The bowl’s decorative design makes it a striking piece of religious artwork for any home. It can be displayed as an antique-style brass wall feature, or simply as an unusual decorative piece with real character. It would suit a hallway, living room, period interior, vintage display, or a collection of religious, ecclesiastical or brassware items.

A lovely old brass work with meaningful religious imagery, sculptural detail and excellent decorative value. At €77, it offers very good value for a substantial maker-marked vintage brass piece of this quality and visual appeal.
