Beautiful and rare vintage silver-plated child's spoon manufactured by the renowned Austrian maker Arthur Krupp Berndorf, dating back to the 1920s–1930s.
The handle features a highly detailed, embossed relief scene depicting the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tale, "Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf" (Rotkäppchen).
Hallmarks & Details:
• "90" stamp: Indicates high-quality German/Austrian standard silver plating (90 grams of pure silver used per standard set of 24 pieces over a durable alpaca/nickel-silver base).
• "21" stamp: Factory pattern/series code.
• Maker's Mark: Authentic Berndorf circular hallmark at the base of the stem.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina. There is some minor surface wear and light scratching consistent with age and use, but the delicate silver-plated layer and intricate handle details remain very well-preserved. It has not been aggressively cleaned to protect its historical character.
Perfect addition for collectors of antique silver plate, Berndorf items, or vintage fairytale-themed children's tableware.
