Vintage piece originally a copper ashtray made by Havard in the historic copper-crafting town of Villedieu-les-Poêles, located in Normandy, France.
Lovely rounded triangular shape which dates it to the late 1950s
Villedieu-les-Poêles Known as the "City of Copper," is a town in Normandy which has been the epicenter of French traditional metalwork since the Middle Ages.
The embossed profile picture is a traditional fisherman or sailor sporting a typical regional cap and pipe, celebrating the coastal heritage of the Normandy ("Normandie") region!
