These fittings are strong and durable. The ball is impact resistant, thick cast plastic. The elastic shock cord has a multi-filament natural rubber latex core sheathed in high-strength, uv resistant, polyethylene braiding. The size refers to the folded length of the un-stretched loop from the outer surface of the ball (i. E. It includes the 25mm diameter of the ball). The shock cord loop is capable of approximately 100% elongation, although, for safety reasons, we recommend that the fitting not be used with the loop extended more than 75%.
