Genuine original Nike Arsenal 2003/04 away shirt, from the legendary Invincibles season, featuring Robert Pires #7.

A particularly special shirt for my husband, as he bought it at Highbury and had the Pires 7 name and number applied in the Arsenal club shop during the 2003/04 season.

The 112712 product code is associated with this 2003/04 Arsenal away shirt, and the shirt’s construction, fabric, crest, sponsor and labels are all consistent with the original period shirt.

Pires 7 printing

The Pires name and number are original period flock/felt-style Premier League printing, consistent with the official namesets used during this era.

Most importantly, this is not a modern Pires nameset added to a vintage shirt — My husband personally had the Pires 7 applied at the Arsenal club shop at Highbury during the 2003/04 season.

Condition

Overall we would describe the shirt as Very Good for its age.

The colours and shirt fabric remain in very good condition, with the usual signs of age expected from a shirt dating from 2003/04.

There is one small area of lifting to the edge of the number 7, which we have photographed in close-up for complete transparency. The Pires print remains firmly attached overall and displays very well.

Why this shirt is special

This is from Arsenal’s unbeaten 2003/04 Invincibles season, when Pires was one of the key players in Wenger’s legendary side.
