"In connection with a Philatelic Exhibition held in Wexford on the occasion of the 25th Wexford opera Festival three pictorial cachets were applied to mail posted at the Exhibition post office int he Talbot, Hotel, Wexford. The regular Lock Gorman (Wexford) CDS in black was used to postmark the stamps. The design on the cachets appear to have been used indiscriminately during the Exhibition which was held from 22-31 October featured operas performed during the festival"
