Vintage Romesse Pot-Bellied Stove

This is a Romesse pot- bellied stove. These stoves were considered the workhorses of workshop, studio or joiners buildings as they could use any type of fuel to keep workers warm 24/7. They were a popular modular slow combustion stove originally made by Smith and Wellstood Ltd at their Columbian Stove Works in Bonnybridge , Scotland . They were also extensively used in old railway signal boxes.
These stoves have already lived a life and this one with some work and tlc will last and last.
It came from a mews house in London to Ireland and was intended to be used in a workshop/ barn but sadly never got put together and used, hence the slight rust. I can’t be sure it’s got all its parts but it seems like it has. It’s very heavy but can be collected in a car. Collection only.
