48 inch Sony Bravia TV

The Sony Bravia KDL-48W585B is a 48-inch Full HD (1920×1080) LED Smart TV from Sony’s BRAVIA range.

Bought in 2015.

It features Motionflow XR 100Hz for smoother motion, X-Reality PRO picture enhancement, built-in Wi-Fi, screen mirroring, and access to smart apps through Sony’s older smart TV platform.
The TV includes 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, DVB-T2/S2 tuners, and 16W total speaker output with Dolby Digital support.
It is designed for good everyday viewing, streaming, and gaming in Full HD rather than 4K. 

Note: Sony software update support ended on 22 December 2025.

A few practical implications:
* No new features or major app/platform upgrades
* Security updates are no longer expected
* Some built-in apps (like older Netflix/YouTube versions) may gradually stop working
* The TV uses Sony’s pre-Android smart platform, not modern Google TV

The TV itself still works fine for:
* HDMI devices
* Broadcast TV
* Game consoles
* Streaming sticks/boxes
