2. The maximum speed is limited to the maximum speed of both input and output devices considering the following scenarios:
A. Both input and output devices supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps), then the maximum speed would be up to (10 Gbps).
B. One of the source devices like input or output supports 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps), but the other one supports 3.0 Gen 1 (5 Gbps), then the maximum speed will be limited to 5 Gbps.
C. One of the source devices like input or output supports only USB 2.0, then the maximum speed will be limited to 480 Mbps.
