Beautifully Restored 1958 Rolex Reference 6542
This is a unique opportunity to own a legendary reference in a highly wearable format. Lovingly assembled in the 1980s, this watch retains much of the original components. While not a "purist" survivor—which would command a significantly higher price—this piece has been professionally restored to serve as a reliable daily wearer rather than a fragile safe queen.

Technical Specifications & Provenance:
• Movement: Original Caliber 1065 (1958). Fully original and serviced in 2019. It is running exceptionally well.

• Date Wheel: Original 1958 "Roulette" style with open 6s and 9s (including the open "6" on the 26), correct for the 1958 production run.

• Dial: Original 6542 dial, professionally refinished in 2010 due to severe historical radium burn.

• Case: High-quality replacement case commissioned in the early 1980s after the original was damaged.

• Bezel: Period-correct Bakelite-style plastic molding from the 1980s, which has developed a beautiful natural patina over the last 40+ years.

• Hands: Replaced in 2010 (originals were too damaged to salvage).

• Crown & Stem: Replaced during the 1980s service due to functional wear.
