Waltham Pocket Watch - Home Watch Co., Grade - 1885c

This is a Waltham Pocket Watch, with a 14Sz, Model 1876, Home Watch Co., Grade and is a full plate lever Movement bearing, sn 2701407, which dates to 1885c. It has 7 Jewels and is KW on the back and key set on the dial.

It was working very well, but the mainspring broke just now, when winding.

The Dial is 44 mm in Diameter and has a sub-secs dial at 6.00. There are 3 light hairlines, as can be seen in the pics.

The Silver Case bears the makers mark A.B. (Alfred Bamford), who was the Waltham Manager in the UK. It bears sn 64928, is 49mm in diameter and has a Birmingham Hallmark for 1893c - Ref : DW -58

This watch comes directly from a Collection,
which was assembled over the past 50 years and is being sold as described and in the condition as shown in the pics.
