Music Zone presents ‘Blue Ghost in the Memory-Machine’, the debut album from Cork artist, bÚkl (Shane Healy) (pronounced like ‘buachaill’)

Limited edition green and purple splatter coloured vinyl, pressed by VinyldeParis.

Produced, performed and recorded in 2024 by Shane at his home-studio, the music shifts from psychedelic prog tinged tracks to hard rock and alternative rock to minimal acoustic ballads with folk elements and songs with quirky electronic drum machine foundations.

The lyrics range from irreverent and tongue-in-cheek to heartfelt and dark, with a sprinkling of Gaeilge in the mix also.

It is a concept album of sorts where the songs creat a poem. They are inspired by, but also hindered by, over a decade of mental health battles, and have finally found their way into the light. This journey has been encapsulated in the cover artwork by Cork visual artist, Jim McCarthy.
