Elvis It Happened at the World's Fair Original First Press 1963

Description

The original UK first pressing of Elvis Presley's 1963 album It Happened at the World's Fair was a mono release on the black "silver spot" RCA Victor label. The UK catalogue number for this release is RD-7565. To confirm that a copy is a true first pressing, collectors should check for the specific label and the matrix number etched into the vinyl's runout groove.
Catalogue number: The original UK release is identified by the catalogue number RD-7565. Some copies may also show the US catalogue number, LPM-2697, printed on the rear cover.

Record label: The label should be the black RCA Victor "silver spot" version, which has silver text with "RCA Victor" printed within a box at the top.

Cover: The sleeve is a fully laminated, "flipback" picture sleeve. This means the back cover is constructed with flaps folded over the front of the record jacket.
