Wagner Ring Cycle (The Original Decca/Solti Recording)
Wagner Ring Cycle (The Original Decca/Solti Recording)
Description
The original historic Decca recording. Undoubtedly the most monumental studio recording of any music.
Includes all original printed booklets. Vinyl is in excellent condition - most never played. Some wear and tear around the holding box. Wonderful rich sound from the golden era of engineering at Decca.
The Decca Ring Cycle (1958–1965), conducted by Sir Georg Solti with the Vienna Philharmonic, was the first studio recording of Wagner’s tetralogy. Produced by John Culshaw, it revolutionized recording technology using "Sonic Stage" techniques. It remains the benchmark Ring.
