@Tadhg3110 Hey Tadhg, thank you so much for the offer, at another time it might have been an attractive deal for me but I’m afraid all the guitars I’ve listed here are for sale only.
We’re open to respectable offers though
Thanks again

@samur3y Thank you for the offer:-)
The guitar belongs to the wife of the original owner who is sadly no longer with us. She’s has had Crowleys music store in Cork provide proper valuations. I’ve just put your offer to her but she is insisting that it’s worth the €600 it was valued at.
Do you mind me asking if you had intended on collecting it or would you have required it to be delivered?

@samur3y: Thank you! Mac was a very talented artist, musician and nice guy. He had a very special collection of guitars inc.
LARRIVEE LV-03R
KIMBARA
YAMAHA LL2 II
MARTIN D28
FENDER HIGHWAY ONE STRATOCASTER
and the MARTIN 000X1 (serial number 1110776 which I think makes it 2006)
Here's a bit of his back story....
The Guitar Legacy of Malcolm "Mac" Morris
A Sale Honouring a Life in Music and Art
This special collection of vintage guitars and equipment comes from the late Malcolm "Mac" Morris, a lifelong musician, artist, and storyteller.
Mac’s musical journey began in 1960s Britain, when folk, blues, and rock were transforming the cultural landscape. Throughout this vibrant era, he shared the stage with the many groundbreaking musicians such as the Yardbirds and Mark Knopfler. Notably, he played with the legendary Nick Drake, where they shared deep conversations about art and colour that may have influenced Drake’s lyrics. During the late 60s, Mac busked across England, playing his beloved guitar on the streets, in bars and in clubs.
Mac’s instruments were never just tools, they were companions, an extension of himself, each carrying decades of performances from intimate clubs to open-air festivals. Alongside music, Mac pursued a career as a self-taught visual artist, working in LP sleeve design and fine art. Despite lifelong pain from Ankylosing Spondylitis, he continued composing, playing, and teaching with resilience and warmth.
Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Mac passed away in January 2025, leaving behind a rich legacy of art, music, and treasured instruments.
His wife Lisa, deeply connected to the memories these guitars hold, now offers them for sale with a heavy but hopeful heart. She wishes for them to go to musicians who will cherish their history and spirit, allowing their voices to be heard again and perhaps to witness them being played once more.
This is more than a sale, it’s an invitation to carry Mac’s musical legacy forward. Each guitar is a living instrument, shaped by passion and time, waiting for new hands to bring new songs to life.
