Rare Antique Kodak Case

Description

This is an original Kodak leather camera case, made in Australia, dating to roughly the 1920s–1930s.

“KODAK CASE – MADE IN AUSTRALIA” stamped inside
Brass EKC-style push-button clasp marked “MADE IN U.S.A.”
Heavy vegetable-tanned leather construction
Purple / dark velvet interior lining
Personal initials stamped on the flap: “I.C.S.J.”

The brass clasp with the stylised logo is a classic Eastman Kodak Co. (EKC) locking clasp, widely used from about 1915–1935.

This is good original condition, not restored:
Leather intact, no rot
Stitching largely intact
Wear consistent with age
Patina collectors like (not over-cleaned)
The scuffs and wear are actually a positive for collectors — over-restored cases lose appeal.
