Aluminia Denmark faience figurine from 1944

A collectible Danish faience figurine from 1944, titled "Fætter" ("Cousin"), from the *Børnehjælpsdag* ("Children’s Aid Day") series, produced by the renowned manufactory Aluminia (which later merged with Royal Copenhagen).
The figurine was designed by the well-known illustrator Herluf Jensenius, with the form sculpted by Hans Henrik Hansen. It depicts a boy in traditional attire from the Amager region, holding a striped barrel or basket in front of him; this served either as a money box—with a slot at the top for inserting coins for charitable causes—or simply as a decorative element.
