Antique Victorian Staffordshire Copper Lustreware Collection. 5 Pieces

Beautiful and highly decorative collection of five antique copper lustreware pieces, believed to be English Staffordshire and dating from the 19th century / Victorian period.

The collection consists of four jugs/pitchers and one pedestal bowl, displaying several different forms of traditional copper lustre decoration.

Particularly attractive features include rich metallic copper lustre, cobalt-blue grounds and bands, hand-painted detailing, ornate handles, moulded floral decoration and colourful raised figural scenes. The two larger relief-decorated jugs are especially striking, with elaborate moulding and wonderful period character.

Polychrome relief-decorated jug with figures, flowers and foliage
Copper lustre jug with painted decorative band

Condition

All pieces are antique and consequently display age-related wear, rubbing, surface marks and variations to the lustre consistent with their age.

The pedestal bowl has a chip to the rim, clearly photographed, together with scratching and wear to the interior copper lustre. This has been taken into account in the asking price.
