Vintage W Germany 505-41 Pottery Vase - Hand Painted - Pink Copper - Upcycled

A tall vintage West German pottery floor vase, impressed "505-41 W. Germany" to the base. The 505 is a shape number associated with Bay Keramik in the 1970s. It has been given a new life with a hand-painted finish.

The body is painted in a soft matt dusky pink, with metallic copper-gold at the rim, shoulder and base, and a stencilled copper damask motif on each side. A striking statement piece for a mantel, hallway or floor, and lovely with dried flowers or pampas grass. The inside keeps its original glossy dark glaze.

Please note: the exterior has been hand-painted (upcycled) over the original finish. It is sold as a decorative piece, not in its original factory glaze.

Height approx. 41cm, diameter approx. 16cm.
Condition: sound, with no chips or cracks. Some paint wear and flaking at the foot rim.
