Fabulous Antique Blue and White Lidded Muffin Dish by Royal Worcester in a Beautiful Acanthus Leaf Pattern, Dated 1901, See Condition Report

I am continuing my effort to downsize, in advance of all our possessions having to go back into storage again in the next few months (the builders keep changing the dates!)

I have quite the selection of Blue and White and Willow Pattern items which I have collected over the years and used for buffets, afternoon teas, and for display on my kitchen dresser, (which I no longer have) but I have too much for my needs, and so this fabulous Lidded Muffin Dish can now go!

For sale here is a Fabulous Antique Blue and White Lidded Muffin Dish by Royal Worcester in a Beautiful Acanthus Leaf Pattern, Dated 1901, See Condition Report

This lovely lidded muffin dish or serving dish is by the quality maker Royal Worcester, and due to the style of backstamp and number of dots on it (5 + 5), this piece dates to 1901. So this piece is most definitely Antique (over 100 years old). Both the lid and bottom are stamped.

The pattern features dense and intricate rococo-style acanthus leaf repeat motifs around the rim of the lid and underplate. The lid has a very unusual double knot finial.

The underplate measures 8.5 inch/ 22 cm in diameter and the complete muffin dish stands about 5 inches/ 13cm in tall including the finial.

Condition-wise, the underplate unfortunately has a hairline crack across it, which has been stabilised on the underside. The lid is in very good condition, but the pattern appears to be slightly blurred, from the time of manufacture. See the photos. The condition has been taken into account when pricing this antique and rare item.

Perfect for display on a kitchen dresser, this would look amazingly fab as part of a blue and white display.

I will have other willow pattern and blue and white items coming soon and recently listed, so check out my other ads and more coming soon! Discounts possible for multiple purchases!
