Lovely Vintage Retro Extremely Rare 70's Jade Green Milk Jug Made by Celtic Kilrush in the Fabulous and Rare Irish Earl Pattern featuring a Cherry and Foliage Motif

I am continuing my effort to downsize as unfortunately we will have to move all our belongings into temporary storage due to builders carrying out major remediation works to our brand new home.
I’m trying to minimize the pain by reducing the amount of packing required to be done!

I’ve quite a few eclectic items of décor which I am currently displaying, and using and they bring me joy, but as everything has to go back into storage again, some things needs to go!!!

Latest on the chopping block are some Irish Pottery items by different makers.

For sale here is a Lovely Vintage Retro Extremely Rare 70's Jade Green Milk Jug Made by Celtic Kilrush in the Fabulous and Rare “Irish Earl” Pattern featuring a Cherry and Foliage Motif.

It is very rare to find vintage ceramics from Celtic Kilrush in this very rare pattern for sale, especially in this colourway, I cannot currently find anything in this pattern online. I only know this pattern as I previously had some plates in my collection, in brown and in this Jade Green. The brown plate had a backstamp naming this pattern as “Irish Earl”, see the photo.

The Milk Jug features a lovely motif of cherries hanging from branches and foliage which wind around the front and back of the jug and the glaze is a very unusual shade of jade green.

The milk jug stands roughly 4.5 inches/11.5 cm tall.
It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or discolouration. The interior of the milk jug is glazed in white, and the jade green glaze on the exterior highlights the cherry design beautifully.

A lovely addition to an existing collection of 1970's ceramics, and Irish made too!
A reasonably priced starter item for a new collector.
