Staffordshire Early Mid 19th Century Ceramic Jug Pitcher

Description

Up for sale is a beautiful mid-19th-century British relief-moulded ceramic pitcher/jug. It features highly detailed, embossed panels with neoclassical/Gothic arches intertwined with grapevines and leaf motifs. The top is fitted with its original, functioning hinged pewter lid featuring a decorative thumb-lift.
The underside of the base clearly displays an impressed British Design Registration Diamond Mark (Series I, 1842–1867), authenticating its Victorian origin and production by an English pottery house (likely Staffordshire).
