1701 William 3rd Full Gold Guinea. Beautiful and Scarce.

Here is a stunner and something I've seen people hunting for in the RDS to no avail, a sceptre guinea.

1701 Gold Guinea, William 3rd, Second Bust. .917 gold, 25mm diameter with angled milling. Spink 3463.

Wear along portrait however lustrous between legends, a truly nice example and one you simply cannot find anywhere just like that. This is the cheapest sceptre guinea for sale on adverts and likely in Ireland. Please see comparable sales and reference books for an XF40 grade guinea like this example. No major dings or scratches, general circulation hairlines. Perfectly flat flan, not bent.

Second laureate bust of King William III right, legend around.
Note: I couldn't find any variety that mentions the absence of a pellet or dot between the III and DEI, so it reads as IIIDEI, pics shows this. Rest of pellets on the coin.

Reverse:
Crowned cruciform shields around central Nassau lion with sceptres bearing national emblems in angles, divided date above, legend around.

This coin is an exceptional piece, to be collected and inspected stricty an in person meet in a safe and public environment. Meeting must be organised to give time to retrieve coin from safety deposit box.
