Description

20 Lei circulation coin from the Kingdom of Romania, minted in 1930 during the reign of King Carol II. 

Key Features

Reverse Design: Displays a crowned eagle with wings spread, holding a cross in its beak. In the center, there is a shield featuring the royal crown and the double "C" monogram of Carol II.

Obverse Design: The other side of the coin features the left-facing profile of King Carol II with the inscription "CAROL II REGELE ROMANILOR".

Specifications:

Diameter: 27 mm

Weight: 7.5 g

Composition: Primarily copper (79%), with zinc (20%) and nickel (1%).

The 20 Lei coins of 1930 were struck at various mints, which can be identified by small marks near the year: 

"H": Struck at Heaton, Birmingham (as seen on your coin near the year 1930).

"KN": Struck at King's Norton Metal Company, Birmingham.

No mark: Struck at the Royal Mint in London.
