2013, In conjunction with the Department of Finance, the Central Bank of Ireland is issuing limited edition collector coins to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the historic visit to Ireland by President John F. Kennedy to Ireland in 1963. These historic and beautiful €10 and €20 collector coins have been struck to the highest Proof quality. The reverse of the coins features an iconic portrait of President Kennedy, the first President of the United States to visit Ireland, and the first to appear on an Irish coin. The portrait is by renowned Irish sculptor Tom Fitzgerald. The obverse of the coin bears the Irish harp. These historic €10 and €20 collector coins come in elegant presentation cases and are accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity testifying to the low issue limits and the rarity of this numismatic event. This commemorative coin issue is strictly limited to only 25,000 silver coins. The issue of gold coins is strictly limited to 10,000 and the coins are only as part of the Two-Coin Set. When John F.
