Design
Malta 2.5 Euro 2024 ‘Karnival ta†Malta†in Coincard is a real eyecatcher, thanks to the cheerful design: a perfect match with the festive event. The obverse of the coincard has the image of dancing Maltese inhabitants in colorful clothing. Color, music and dance are important parts of the Malta Carnaval. In the bottom is the text ‘Karnival Ta†Maltaâ€, which means Malta Carnival. On the right side of the coincard, several shapes can be discovered. The use of these shapes can also be seen on the reverse.

On the obverse of the coin, an animated figure looks up, arms spread out. On the head is a mask, that is a referral to the use of masks during the Malta Carnival. On the bottom of the coin is the text â€2,5 Euro Karnival Ta†Maltaâ€. On the reverse is the logo of the Central Bank of Malta.
