Description:
Created on April 21, 1975, the Ombudsman is an independent State body with a constitutionally enshrined dimension, whose purpose is to be the guarantor of fundamental rights and freedoms, being responsible for ensuring the justice and legality of the actions of the Public administration.
To mark the 40th anniversary of the Ombudsman, the INCM minted a commemorative collection coin signed by the plastic artist José de Guimarães, thus highlighting the important mission of this constitutional body.
