Antique Victorian Sapphire & Diamond Ring - 18ct circa 1880

For sale is this fabulous sapphire and diamond cluster ring dating from around 1880/1890.

The ring is set in a marquise shape with three graduating oval cut sapphires and surrounded by 18 graduating old cut diamonds.

The sapphires are a fabulous rich royal blue colour and the diamonds are beautifully white and full of fire and sparkle.

The three sapphire weigh approx. 0.6ct and two 0.35ct. The diamonds total approx. 1.3ct

The setting is raised above slamming leaf designed shoulders with banded ties. The setting measures 26mm in length and 12mm in width.

The ring is English in origin and the band has been re-sized at some point over its 150 year history, over the hallmark but it is still visible inside the band and also with a French import hallmark on the outside all for 18ct gold.

The finger size is a size T (US 9 3/4) and can easily be re-sized up or down to any size.
