Ibanez RG8570TT J custom

Description

An ibanez j custom rg. I believe it is from 2004. Guitar in very good to excellent condition. Has been gigged a few times but largely used for home practice.

Pickups are all dimarzios. Tone zone in bridge, true velvet in middle and air norton in the neck. Features an edge pro trem, flamed maple top (not a veneer) and recessed tone and volume control knobs. Neck is a 5 piece maple/bubinga.

Having to sell as I'm trying to get more space and this guitar just isn't getting the attention it deserves. It does come with cert of authentication and a hard case. Case in good condition but is missing one foot. Guitar also has one locking nut which does not match. This was from previous seller and is pictured, I believe easy enough to come by.

3 minor dings, one on headstock and 2 on body, both pictured above.

Hey man, I've been looking into this model.. the back of the headstock, has that quote on the back right? That could be indicative that this, is a Sugi Craft J Custom, not a Fujigen model, so if this is Sugi Craft, it is worth ALOT more than what you're asking. Sugi Craft J Customs normally go for around 5k. Just wondering if you're aware. I'd do some research and maybe keep. Be a shame to sell a Sugi Craft J Custom for a fraction of what it's worth.

@Dave9091 Hi Dave. I really appreciate this. Funnily enough it's the neck profile. I have baby hands and it's on the thicker side. It's a savage axe but I'm happy to move it on for this price. If you're interested and see it as a bargain I'd be more than happy to let it go.

Honestly, I'd love to, but I don't have that cash on me at the min, saving for the house. I have 3 Prestige Ibanez, that I'd have to sell, and sure by the time I'd have sold them, this could be gone. Yano, I've a 1 of 250 RG2820CT and a 1 of 100 Prestige S1220, so I have really rare prestige Ibbys. Just not, THIS rare, you know. Only thing I've to offer, are 3 decently Rare Prestige Ibanez. Sorry man

Oh wow, okay, the plot thickens 🤣 you could very well be sat on a goldmine. Sugi J Customs are insanely sought after and sell for 2x what a FujiGen J Custom would.

The official wiki says FujiGen, but the quote on the back of headstock is usually a giveaway for a Sugi Craft, as well as some stamp below the 24th Fret. Look for an "S" in the serial no etc

@Dave9091 Did some digging. Fujis from 2001-2004 have 5 character serial. It is 100% Fuji as far as I can tell.

Ah fair enough, at least now you know what you have. It's a balls alright, most folks with 2k roughly to drop on an Axe will go Fender or Gibson. I'm just a total Ibanez Elitist so if I had the cash, I'd drop instantly. All the best with selling anyways
