Tropical Discus Flakes Wild is a complete, multi-ingredient feed in flake form, intended for the daily feeding of wild discus and other fish with high nutritional requirements.

The formula contains algae, squid and garlic. Its delicate flake structure and high palatability make the food readily accepted by wild-caught fish.

The formula includes Spirulina platensis, Chlorella vulgaris, Ascophyllum nodosum, Laminaria digitata and Haematococcus pluvialis. The high proportion of plant-based ingredients, including algae and fruit, reflects the natural diet of wild discus.

Spirulina and Chlorella provide unsaturated fatty acids, protein rich in essential amino acids and vitamins. Marine algae also provide microelements and macroelements. According to the manufacturer, these ingredients support the condition, growth and vitality of fish.

Bioactive substances found in garlic and algae support the fish’s immune system. Natural carotenoids from red microalgae, krill and red pepper help maintain the natural colouration of fish and prevent fading.

The manufacturer also recommends this feed for fish during quarantine, acclimatisation and convalescence.
